As I was growing up, I always considered books to be among my closest friends. They were my constant companions, entertaining me, expanding my imagination, and teaching me numerous valuable lessons about people and the world we live in. Many of those books are still with me, friends for life.

Now that I am writing books myself for children and young adults, I strive to achieve that same blend of entertainment and meaning that I treasured so much as a child. I hope that my novels will inspire my readers to think about the values they live by and how their actions affect others, as well as bring them hours of imaginative pleasure.
